My alternator has ****e itself - running a 386 stroker. any ideas as to where I could pick up something to replace in Brisbane on a Sunday - just to get me by?

Bugger, and I'm waiting on stock, sold my last GM 1 wire alternator on Thursday.:( Autobarn might be your only hope today anyway

Try California Image or for certain supply on the web www.usgmsp.com have them for delivery Tuesday. Most electricians can rebuild those types but cost more then new.
