If there is one thing ive noticed on this site its the willingness from members to help and offer advice. Unlike some other sites that spend more time baging the crap out of each other and trying to sort out a pecking order, I think its needs to be said that this is a great site to be part of. Some might see me coming over as another 'im gona do this" or "gona do that" kinda of person with a million big ideas and wanting to follow in the steps of what ive seen a lot of you guys do, with nothing actually getting done - but the more I ask around trying to learn the more helpfull you guys are.
Thanks all, its honestly one of the most helpful sites ive been across, with some really great people sharing the same passion in tuff cars.

Give them a call.. I've always called whoever I order stuff through (camaro parts or harley bits for my brother) to confirm the order and payment and double check that it's been sent out... how are they sending it over?

And yeah, this forum seems allot more steady in regards to the users ;)

Guys, I know a little how you feel. I have just spent the last week arranging a truckload of parts and I have been staying up every night until 1am just so I can get on the phone to some of these people. Some are excellent as they respond really quickly via Email (Summit and Classic Industries) and others I give up after many emails and just call them (Moser, Performance online).

just a heads up on ss396.com guys, if your thinking of buying anything off their website, DONT BOTHER. I ordered a front spoiler for my 69 Camaro around 3 weeks ago, the day after the order was placed my credit card was debited for over $100, the part was around $30US, so i thought no biggie, must include shipping. 3 weeks pass, no spoiler, no correspondence from the company.

I finally get a response saying we never received your intital email.. yeah ok.. get another email this morning saying that i didn't respond to their email asking if i was happy to pay the $200 shipping charge!!!!

i told them to refund my money!! they are a FKN JOKE!!!

so let it be a warning to anyone thinking about buying from them! DONT

i have purchased from both of the above. Dave at Pontiworld - parts are a little more expensive than from the US but certainly cant fault their service if you need something in a hurry. Just recently had a couple of shipments from Rick's 1st Gen with no hassles whatsoever

Been Dealing With U.S. Parts Places Last 20 Years And All Them Have In Some Way Done Shonky Things, There Are Some Good Ones But Most Of Them Dont Really Care For Us Overseas Guys, If Its Going To Be A Drawn Out Effort They Dont Want To Waste Their Time, Also They Used To Send Their Damaged Or Marked Parts To Overseas Orders, I Have Had One Major Company Do It To Me In 97, They Sent A Damaged Part In A Sealed Package to me, When Opened It Part Was Removed From Package At Some Stage By A Previous Sale, Seen It Was Damaged And Returned For A Refund. They Said The Part Was Damaged During Shipping To Me, What Crap As Shipping Package Was Not Damaged At All, Blasted Them And Told Them I Wouldnt Deal With Them And I Would Put The Word Out About Them, They Sent Another One Out. Same Has Happened To Other People I Know. So Now I Buy My Parts And Check Every One When Im There. Classics Show Me All The Parts They Pick Out From My Order When I Pick Them Up So At Least Both Of Us Know There Aint No Damage.

You still have to be extra carefull when ordering as some of them aint got a clue, ordered a one piece floor pan, gave them the part number and had the page opened to where it was in the catalog and when i went to the back to get my order they told me the floor pans came only as a two piece item not as a one piece. Well i took the items and a couple of days later looked in there catalog at a one piece floorpan and rang the person who is head of parts and i asked the guy about a one piece floor pan and he said no they didnt do one, only sold it in two halves, so i told him to look at his catalog at whatever page it was listed and he said to me yes they do list a one piece, he didnt even know himself, so he went to the warehouse and had a look at where they are kept and he had six on the shelf, well i then had to organise to pick up the two piece floorpan from my yard and then go the next day to exchange it for a one piece, what a waste of a day. You would think the sales people at the counter know their stuff.
