Looks cool, I was actually thinking about putting my other camaros wheels on it and sourcing some Ralleys for that. Your really good with Photoshop, I have it here but have not spent the time on it.

I will cut the duco, put new carpets, roof linning, doing some mechanicals, then steam clean the interior and repaint some of the plastics.

I have already had some offers on the car so I am almost tempted to turn if over, that is if the price is right.

Not to many around like this in Australia, most have 350 and even rarer 400s retro'ed.

Who is going to the GM all Day at Flemington this year? I will be there amongst all the camaro's, I have just finished the wheels tonight and replaced the redwalls with large white walls, then tomorrow i will attempt to detail the duco.

yes it will stay red, even though the original colour was gold, it was a berlinetta euro pack with a 350 350 10 bolt, not much left of that now except the deluxe sports interior.

When is all American day ? Is it Anzac long weekend ?

All American day is this Sunday at Flemmington Racecourse, I go to this one every year with about 20-25 other cars and we pretty much fill up the 1st gen camaro section.

You have to go, if you are into gm.

Yes mitch it is.

Its a shame its a great car with a lot of potential, had a heap spent on it but the car market has dived! I am going to loose a packet due to replacing the tilt steering column and doing all the wiring, and putting the wheels on.

Was originally going to keep it and build it up into a pro street as there are not many of this era like it.. If you look in the states these are starting to soar in price, so this should happen here over the next two years. Paul

Yeah, it was tempting and did look very nice in the pics you sent me.

I also spoke to you on the phone briefly if I remember rightly?

I was after a earlier model though...

Good luck with the sale of it..

Me neither, it gets a lot of looks everywhere it goes.

Owes me $22k, needs work but for the price and condition, the fact its registered at 17k it is a bargain. The market has just turned to %hit. I even concidered selling my BA Fairmont and use this as a daily driver but this is not decent logic. I shouldnt say this but I was on fitzsimons lane in Eltham on Friday comming back from Epping and a brand new M5 was giving me the ****s; over taking cutting me off and then droppping back, so i flattened it at the Eltham round a bout, dropped it to second and went up the hill the m5 could not catch only keep up. He got such a suprise the silly sod did not pass me again he sat back.

awesome stretch of road.

If I hadn't just signed on for my 3rd mortgage (building a new house), Paul I would have already snapped this up....I agree at that price it is a bargain !

How is your new business venture going?

I started a retail business in the sustainable building products market just on 12 months ago, quite challange especially when the focus is quality rather than quick fix. I have also been in senior management as well and i am happy for the experience but looking for personal satisfaction now and family time.

New biz is really starting to pick up, no revenue yet...but plenty on the horizon !!! All good.

Now sustainable building products, lets not introduce you to my wife...she was going nuts with Hydronic heating, special insulation, non chemical carpet, non chemical bench tops, etc etc etc I could go on.

It became so nuts it was going to cost $535,000 just to build a 28 square house !!! OMG ! (ps that doesn't include the 13 square 4 car garage which was a non negotiable item)......;)

Anyway we have now opted for a Henley home as we simply could not afford what she wanted to do...we found that enviro friendly, chemical free, sustiainable just equals way too many $$$. With Henley we can still do much of what she wants but via a volume builder so price is lower...I bet quality will be also....

What sort of products do you sell ?

Chris pass on to your wife our website link:

www.styleplantation.com

Bamboo flooring
Bamboo furniture board/bench tops
Composite decking
Paulonia feature wall panelling
Eco Linen - towels, bedding linen
Lots more.

This is the first store for Victoria, the first 12 mnths have been very challenging but we have made it. Aniversary for 12 mnths comming up next month.

We dont sell rubbish its all about quality proven sustainable products, mostly from plantation products that have all passed Eco Specifiers standards. Our products are in a competative market space however we are the most specified supplier of Bamboo products by Architects! Just need to turn this into profit.

We are going through a process of employing a staff member at the moment as I am too much in the business not enough time to get out and develop business.

At the end of the day Honest products, with an honest market strategy that has the support of the designers in the industry.

Paul,

Wow...so my wife talked extensively about Bamboo floor and bench tops...I told her she was smoking something !!!

We have gone floor tiles in the house. Can you stain the Bamboo ? If so do you have non toxic stains ? We would go Bamboo floor but we want dark coloured floor and she doesn't want to use the chemical based toxic floor stains that are typical in most today.

Just passed on the web link, may not go with it for this house as we are pretty far down the track now, but we will build again in a few years I suspect and then I expect she will go nuts.

Contact DCA Design in Port Meb, we were using him as our Arhitect till it becam too expensive, he does mostly sustainable stuff.

Good luck with it, I can see this becoming a boom market in the future...and I am sure we will be buying from you !!

Chris it is mostly the women I deal with in business relating to this product, its amazing the Male gender is mostly on their for the cheque book, REALY! You wife did good research, and your comments were similar to mine when I first heard about it. It was not unitil I saw it that my jaw dropped and stirred up some emotion inside.

Yes you can stain it!

We dont stain the product unless specially ordered and its done in a sensitive manor.

We offer many products which we call COFFEE and one that is called EXPRESSO, either a dark brown chocolate colour or that deep African color.

To get this colour we steam the strands or solid board during the manufacturing process at enourmous levels and this changes the genius which grey to the brown color, we then seal the boards with a German coating that is part of our TM. The coatings exceed the European standards for VOC toxicity x 10 times. And one of our products Styleboard TM is 70% stronger than Jarrah, and rivals black butt for strength, this product has the strength of steel.

Our business model stays away from stains, and also most natural stains and coatings. Its not that we dont support them, its the manufacturers of these products that wont support their products. An example being; recently we researched an environmental coating that is being used a lot in Sweeden, all stacked up well, and it seemed to put a hard shell on the board. I only asked one question: Will you warranty it for 5 years? The importer after a lot of cowtailing said no. This is the crux of it, if you cant stand by your products then how good are they? Another fact; a lot of the so called enviromental coatings are quite toxic at some point in manufacturer, this is why they dont carry the industry standard logos or acceptance at this point.

Bamboo would certainly have not only given your existing choice a run for its money look wise but also financially, I offer a 10 year structure and 5 year coating warranty, with a life expectancy of over 20 years. No Laminated floating floors here.

Hope this helps Chris, if you ever want to explore this product just call we have all on display at Glen Iris including all the furniture board.

Yes I would probably concider my options if $85 was on the table, but certainly not $80k, the car owes me double that and still going.
