Never done this before, any clues in how to go about or any pitfalls I should know ?? Car is a 69 Camaro with multi leaf rear end (10 bolt)

Nope... its pretty straight forward... if you plan on taking the axles out just remember they are C-clip retined.

I've had mine out and it's pretty quick and painless. I'm sure you'll sort it out but as a guide firstly you want to un bolt the tail shaft, shock absorbers, sway bar (if you've got one) and disconect the brake lines and hand brake cables. Then it's just a matter of un bolting the leaf springs at the rear shackles and then at the front mounts. Should then just slide right out. Make sure you've got it jacked up enough to lower it down and slide it out. If you cant get clearance you can un bolt the diff housing from the leaf springs.

As Kurt mentioned, if you want to remove the axles you need to take off the diff hat at the back and rotate the carrier untill you have access to the bolt in the centre shaft. Un do this and pull out the centre pin to get access to the C clips which hold the axles in. Slide them off and you can slide the whole axle out of the housing.

I think that's all correct but i'm doing it from memory and it's been a while. Hope that helps.

Easiest thing to take out, even I got it with minimal hassles... just unbolt everything :p
