Hi everyone, im new to this forum thingy and I thought I should introduce myself, first id like to say giday to all of you camaro owners out there, its been my dream since I was a small kid to own a camaro. Now that ive finished my aprentaship and now a qualified fitter and turner, and with plenty of saving up and selling my SS Commodore (common door) I bought my self a 1974 t-top camaro has an old but strong 350 chev and 350auto, have replaced intake manifold, carby, dizzy, coil and installed a set of thermo fans and gilmer belt drive, just so that I know it will fire up every time I turn the key. In the next 12 months I plan on building a stroker motor for it and to run a turbo700 trans. I also want to re-build the front sub frame, suspension, brakes and steering and rear suspension so that it handles a bit better with the extra horse power. im fairly new at building up and working on old American muscle cars as im only 22yo, so il probably be rattling your brains with many questions and ideas, since most of you are probably older and wiser and have plenty of experience. Thanks for reading my boring story. CMARO1

Welcome aboard....sounds like a cool project.

You might be surprised at the spread of ages on this board....

And I love the gilmer drive...I seriously contemplated the same thing
