Hi guys and gals,

Around 3 years ago I called in sick for work with an emergency, when I went back the next day I was greeted with what was wrong yesterday, 'The big emergency' did you buy a hot rod?, the answer was "Yes".

After one year of checking Carpoint and Ebay every night I finally found my dream rod and one in my price range!

I ran out to the garage and screamed to my dad "Dad, dad come look at this come now" he came in an took one look and said that will be sold already, so I pleaded, please call, please call... so he did and to our surprise it was still for sale due to the fact that the magazine had not hit the stands yet, although it had already hit the net.

Dad asked the general Q's, condition, motor, how much work etc, then we slept on it.

I woke at 5.00am the next morning and ran into Dad's BR and said "Daddy I want it and want it now", nah only joking I really said "Dad this could be the opportunity of lifetime can we please go and look at it, can we please.... please...." he agreed.

So off we went at 6.00am in the morning. We called the guy when we got there at around 7.00am and got him out of bed. "We are here to look at the rod". Dad checked it over and was unsure as he had not seen many 39's on the road.. So I pleaded again... Dad agreed and decided that it was my money so I could spend it on what I wanted.

The next day I bought my baby home... and 8 1/2 months later it was engineered and registered and on the road. The test drive was to Valla, over a 16 hour drive and he didn't let me down once. God I love him.

Here is my first burnout in him, and no the smoke is not coming from the car next to me...... Or is it?
