Alright,
Just a quick question.. Who makes the replacement OER panels (for camaro's)?
I know places like Classic Industries and Goodmarks sell them.. But are they all made at the same place?
Same with the cheaper repo stuff? Is it all the same?
Just out of curiosity.. I want to know if I buy from 1 will it be any different (quality, fit etc.) from the other :p

steve,
i got all me panels with 'Goodmark' on the boxes through a local shop here... all the panels have 'made in taiwan' ... really luck of the straw with the perfect fit.. as im having a couple issues but i cant compain.. its still better than trying to fix really bad dented/bogged panels :D.... i too b interested in other peoples findings buying from diff suppliers etc....
edit: steve, check this site out... the chap lists 2 types of body panels for consideration... probably the way to go hey....

Steve,
There is 2 Major companies in Taiwan that stamp the repro panels no matter what the box says on it....
GT - Golden Truss mainly these are used by DII Dynacorn international
GL - Golden Legion mainly these are basically what goodmark sells although they are known to use GT stamped panels too... I guess this is why you'd get mixed stories regarding panel fitment?
Golden legion seems to be the better stamping from my understanding....
There are other companies that produce...but definately those makes are a substantially lower grade panel.
Also Heartbeat City in MI U.S.A. Do USA made repro's...... real nice but real pricey!

Golden Legion seem to be the most.
Go to www.camaros.net if you haven't been up there yet look out you will be blown away......
Go to the forum and type in replacement panels or repo panels or something like that...there is tons of info, they even get into metal thickness in some of the posts

Cheers for that, they same to have similar parts as everywhere else, a few more genuine (OER) items than the rest though...
So, who's making a round trip and buying all our bits? :p

LOL I am over those days.... seriously... the last time I helped a guy out he made me out to be the biggest asshole in the world... I doubt I'd ever do it again.... I gave him everything on cost even showed him my invoices.. I copped a good chunk of the shipping cos from the time I told him a price things were back ordered and I could not make that shipment and when I did ship it cost me a bomb.... and I wore half of it just to keep my word cos that is how I am... He then blew up at me over the GST??? WTF is next I thought.... well it didn't end there.... Im not gonna fully go into it but I don't think I'll ever be the middle man on something like this again.... not for someone who has never dealt with this sh*t first hand... it is pain staking to say the least and unless you have done it you would never fully understand the headaches associated with importing.
