Was made to try this. I failed :( 74%, guess my dreams of being a ford mechanic has crashed and burned :p. 80% is whats needed to pass, made a few stupid mistakes, a couple i admit i didn't know, but there is 1 i will argue to the death if this was for a real test that I was right... I let a few of ya's do it and see what you say :p

http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/quizzes/MechanicalAptitude.php

Should only take 10 - 15mins... 50 questions in all multiple choice...

P.S. The one i'm arguing about is question 48, in regards to Naturally aspirated engines...

Got 84 in about 20 mins. I reckon If I spent 30 mins. I'd do a little better, but we all now know FORD mechanics have never passed it anyway right ? So what was question 48 ?

Q.48 was:

Q. In a naturally aspirated Engine, air enters in the cylinder.....

A. Because of Gravity
B. From suction caused by the piston going down
D. From atmospheric pressure pushing it in
C. Because of compression

And this picture was with it:
347

Correct answer according to them is 'D. From atmospheric pressure pushing it in'

Now the only reason atmospheric pressure would be pushing it in is because their is a vacuum caused by the suction caused by the piston going down.. So hence I chose B.

Now yeah I can see how it can be both, but then again as I explained it above, D wouldn't happen if it wasn't for B...

My 2 cents anyway...

I chose B as well ?
How could it be D ?
That means if I pull the sparkplug out of my mower the piston will be forced down ?
Maybe @ 10 metres under water or on another planet ?
FORD  typical
