I watched the Adelaide races on 1HD (?) on the weekend, it was intersting to see after watching at the track.
It was good racing.
Very entertaining.
I think we will see these races getting a higher profile.
I got a poster with all the drivers signatures, still haven't put it up in the shed. (makes me sound like a big kid :D )

Yea I found them way more entertaining than V8 dodgem cars at the track-and they come across pretty well on that tv telecast too.
Are there any tougher looking/sounding circuit racers?
Be nice to get that Bullas in car vid on disc.
I think it'd be pretty good on big screen with surround sound.:cool:
They're on at Hidden Valley in Darwin with the V8 circus on June 14 and they raced at Winton recently.I guess we'll see the replays eventually.

The 6300 makes the 797 look like a 793 when there along side each other,ive got a photo some where but cant find it at the moment but heres a pic of a 6300 777 cat 4400 along side each other on our go line.
I think everyone has seen a 777 before so it should give you an idea of the size difference.And the 777 isnt sitting in the V drain as the other trucks are.

I do however have contacts on all entry points to my garage (being an alarm tech has its advantages). You will also find many garage doors are quite easy to just kick your way through them.:mad:

Aaah, no, they don't.
I spend a lot of time in China and most of the car drivers still think they are on a bike.
I have never had so many white knuckle trips in a car in any other place.
The best you can do is get in a car with as many airbags and seatbelts as possible.

I remember seeing 6 body bags get filled on the way to Beijing airport when a concrete truck ran over a people mover van.
Friggin' clueless.

Apparently Bewitched was the first show to have product placement, a practice that is common today on TV and in movies. My kids have just got Bewitched as a box set, and in the first series Darrens car is a 64 SS Chevelle convertible! Pale metallic blue with a white interior, sweet as bro :D.

Arguably the most controversial year of V8 Supercars....

And I was there as a pimply faced 16 year old!! My mate and I had saved our pennies all year and caught the trains and buses from Newcastle to get there... We bought tickets to be apart of the Brock Village experience and stayed with the Brock family and team for the whole week.. It was an awesome experience.... Unforgetable.

I came across this series of YouTube vids from that race and thought i'd post them up...

From the start to the finish.... Brock snapping the tailshaft on the grid to when the rain came and Richards ran the GTR into the wall and the race was red flagged... YES, I was there yelling BOOOO when Richards and Skaife were on the podium...

Today, V8Supercars might be quicker (high10s in the 130s), but they don't have nuthin' on watching these real production cars for excitement you can really relate to.

I was wondering that too. I have my Industrial Twin Rope Access ticket.. Very limited experience so far, but I know stuff like free climbing is just totally out of the question. Forget OH&S rules, it's just flat-out deadly.

They do free climb towers in Oz, mostly lattice towers.

Keep in mind the tower in the vid was 539meters. The tallest towers in Oz are the Omega Towers at 420m. They have recently been shut down.

Also at the end when he's at the top of the tower. Just as he stands up on the very top, It looks like he is holding the carabiner with both hands whilst adjusting it, then puts it in the hole, holds the carabiner with one finger and the with other hand finally puts the lanyard on. The second guy just puts his lanyard hook straight into the hole.

I couldn't stand like that.. I'd get vertigo and not know which wat was up and loose balance.
I'm also amazed they don't have a permanant cable to hook a shunt/asap on to as fall arrest. The lanyards are a pain to keep swapping so you hook on the shunt/asap and it just follows you up the structure.
If you fall, it grabs the cable in a way like a inertia seat belt does so you actually get to live to tell your mates about how you then had to decend a 500m tower with a sh!t in your pants! :D

It's called a break back trailer, very common, it pivots at the draw bar and it locked in with a pin when loaded.

As Greg said, commonly called a break back trailer. Pivot point is at the end of the drawbar about a meter in front of the first axle and a pin locks it in up the front. Here's a build pic of it.....

Yeah, I noticed that too.
I thought maybe he doesn't want to advertise how much the speed limit was exceeded by.
I am sure there would be someone willing to make an issue out of someone speeding on Youtube (even it is "accidental").

Impressive.. At the max flow of 290 liters p/minute = 4.83 liters p/second = 0.604 liters p/cylinder p/second.. :eek:

7500rpm = 125 rps.. /2 (4 stroke) = 62.5 firing strokes per second.
0.604L / 62.5 = ~10mls per firing stroke. Thirsty! :D

60L Fuel Tank... Dobbo will suck out every last drop of nitro down that race track... 30L for the Burnout, 30L for the warm up area and the remaining 30L down that race track!

I got to get me one of those 60L Fuel Tanks! :D

I wish that guy would cut to the chase!
I bet he has valid things to say and worth saying but, if he wasn't so boring to listen to, I would have watched his vids in their entirety.

This is the internet being watched by the TV generation. If information takes longer than about 3 seconds, too late, we've lost interest. :p
