Guys
What diameter pick up and fuel line size do I need for a BB  Also can the regulator be mounted in the boot with the pump & filter or does it have to be closer to the Holley
I was thinking 3/8 or 1/2 inch

Thanks

I always thought that you can go as big as you want for the fuel line, as in "you can't go too big"... too small, and then you have a problem..

I know i have a fair bit of 1/2" fuel line i'm planning on using.. if i need more, i'll go double :p

Pickup... i wouldn't have a clue....

The biggest stock sender outlet is 3/8" and big enough for most BB street engines. If your camaro was a BB or a holley equiped small block car ? Then chances are you have a 3/8" line all the way, if not, it'll be 5/16"
I've found high volume mechanical pumps and a 3/8 fuel line will supply enough for a decent BB.
But some crate engines need electric (no mount)
Not sure on where the regulator should go ? There usually in the engine bay ?

Very intersting
For a serious street engine with 600HP or more ? You're going to need more fuel than a stock set up can deliver.
But take the legendary L88 427 corvette for example ? Rated @ 450HP but actually produced around 550HP with a mechanical pump and a 3/8" fuel line :D
What HP do you expect from the engine your building ? Do you need all that extra plumbing ?

Engine is a 502 around 500HP with a 850cfm Holley. Have decided to go 1/2 inch all the way
Have discovered the Regulator needs to be close as possible to the Carb

Thanks for the input
